The only problems I've had with Logitech, was with their early versions of the MX518 20 years ago, the cord was not connected properly on one of the three units I tested, and with their first mechanical keyboards, the Orion G610 keyboard used switches that become unstable quickly, and that their current products sometimes stop working properly after years of heavy use, which is to be expected. ![]() The keyboard generation before that was also one of the best units I've tested, the G810 which I own three of. If you are talking about Logitech hardware, can you please be specific and name any of the top products that have been bad quality? The Logitech products that I am using at the moment, the G915 keyboard and the Pro Superlight mouse are the best units I've ever owned - I own four G915 keyboards, two G Pro Wireless and two G Pro Superlight. I've tested Logitech's software too, and I've had no problems, except with the early versions of G Hub. I don't understand why you include Logitech. And frankly, as you can see, I've been stupid not to ignore them since the Bommslang fiasco. The reason I've tried so many razer products, is because I am a keyboard/mouse nerd. And I would recommend everyone to not waste their time. I did check, and we can not store our configuration on the keyboard, we have to install and have synapse running - a program I've been conditioned to hate. Needless to say, these days I often see razer products that looks interesting, like their huntsman keyboards, but I just can't be arsed anymore. When it is installed it sometimes disabled the products that it was supposed to enhance (I gave a Viper mouse to my nephew because he wanted it for his birthday and he installed synapse and it periodically disabled his mouse). So I always just threw the razer products in the bin.Īnd whenever I installed Synapse, it would handicap my PC, and cause it to take 30 seconds extra to boot. The time alone corresponds to about $100-$300 for me, not to mention the time used to find, read reviews and buy the product in the first place. It means that when I've bought a razor product, I'd have to spend time and money to RMA to get a replacement. Some were broken out of the box (Boomslang, that could not move diagonally to the upper right), or the gaming mice could only be moved slowly without spassing out (several of their mice, and I can't remember all the names: copperhead, diamondback, etc), or the liftoff distance was so high that it was unusable (abysus), or the mouse prediction made the mouse useless (salmosa) or the mouse button broke after 10 minutes of use (deathadder), or the keyboard switches became mushy after 10 days of use (can't remember the name of the keyboard, it was 4 years ago). I am always very suspicious when someone reports that they have been using their razer product for more than a month, because I've not had any of the products I bought from razor work for more than 2-3 weeks at most. The installation process often caused a bluescreen, and didn't work as any other normal windows installation.Īdd to this, that their products are of the same quality as their software. The previous versions are not viruses, they're just so poorly written that the effects of installing them on our our systems, is equivalent to getting a virus. I've avoided installing synapse for years. Note I haven't tried Synapse 3, as far as I know but I've tried the previous versions. You can do so by simply clicking flair under your link!
